Adam Jones cracked 2 homeruns at Trailer Park as the Santa Fe Trailer Bitches
pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the woeful SSB SSB Tar Heels by the
count of 7 to 6.
Santa Fe won the game with a rally in the 9th inning scoring 4 runners on 2
hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Jones who made the Santa Fe fans a
happy lot when he brought the hometown folks to their feet with a Grand
Slammer. Santa Fe had 12 hits for the night.
Angel Guzman(8-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing
no runs. Brandon Medders(2-5) was the losing pitcher in relief. He
surrendered 2 hits and 2 walks in 1/3 of an inning.
'Now there is a lesson in perseverance for you,' Jones noted. 'It was looking
pretty dim there for a while, but we just kept plugging away and it really
paid off in spades! And it was great to see the crowd go crazy there at the
end!'
